How 3221+ Competitions Work
The Basics
There is a new competition starting every day.
Each competition starts with users nominating songs for a knockout format, where there can be only 1 winner
Each competition lasts for one week and has
2 days for nominations
5 days of voting
You can nominate as many songs as you like and, nominate a song more than once (provided it meets the competition criteria)
The most 32 most nominated songs go into the ‘Round of 32’ and the fun really begins
Once voting starts you only get one vote per round, but it’s a knockout competition, if you want your song to win you have to vote in a new round every day
The Interesting Stuff
Every day has a different theme and we will be publishing full details of the initial themes shortly. (For example It’s a Throwback (will focus on older music but there will be different Criteria each week to keep games interesting. Criteria could include artist type or nationality, genre, or even song release date
On Sundays It’s Gonna’ Get Weird and our imaginations will run riot. Songs with food in the title or perhaps more topical with the current European Championships - Football Songs. I’m Forever Blowing Bubbles or You’ll Never Walk Alone? (although Fat Les singing Vindaloo would get my vote)
Each day we will provide a link to a Spotify playlist1 of the Round of 32 songs which will be available all week
You can listen at work, or with your friends Where else are you able to pitch Abba against ZZ Top Gimme Gimme Gimme (A Sharp Dressed Man after Midnight), any body?
Taylor Swift (Shake it Off) or Beyonce (Single Ladies)? It’s for you to decide.
Everytime you vote for a song that wins a match you earn points towards your leaderboard ranking. Earn bragging rights (for now) and more tangible benefits as we grow the 3221+ platform
